A WORD ABOUT MY WIFE

12/29/2006

Let me just say that my wife is the most wonderful person I know. She is so full or grace and love! I can’t even believe how lucky I got when she agreed to be my wife. And now we have a cat, a dog, a house, and a baby on the way! Life couldn’t get any better! Anyhoo — I just wanted to say how much I love and adore her. I can’t say it enough!

She is my one true love!

BUSY NIGHT

12/24/2006

Kesha and I are keeping busy this Christmas Eve. Working at the Church makes it a very eventful time of the year. We are just about to head back to the church for our 2nd of 3 Christmas Eve services. This is such a great time of year! I love Christmas!! After the last service, Kesha and I are heading to open presents and celebrate with her side of that fam. Should be great times!

Anyway, we are just about to head out the door and pick up a Starbucks. I hope all is well with everyone this wonderful Christmas season!

IT"S A GIRL!

12/12/2006

If you haven’t read Kesha’s blog yet, we are happy to have a wonderful baby girl on the way. We got her first pictures taken yesterday morning — and let me be the first to say she is the most precious little sweetie in the world! We don’t have a name yet — so toss out some suggestions!

THE HOUSE STORY

12/10/2006

Ok…here is the short version. If you want the long version, talk with me.

So we were supposed to have the house all financed and paid for by November 20th. This was not the “preferred date”. Since my last day at Regence BlueCross BlueShield was November 20th, it was imperative that we be in the house by then. As it turns out, the house wasn’t completed until the 27th! But we had a little bit of hope since the employment check was already done earlier.

Anyhow, after we had signed all the papers and we thought we were in the clear, we got a call from our lender saying that they did a “last minute employment check”. I couldn’t believe it. I almost sharted. The worst part was that we had already moved 3 truck-loads worth of our stuff into the house. Liz, our broker, told us that there was no chance that we could get approved for the loan with the employment change (especially since I am only making about 1/2 the amount I was making at Regence).

So here we sat. Our hearts broken. Our dreams shattered. We spent a while in prayer, and then started to move all our stuff BACK TO THE OLD HOUSE :( . We were just about to leave the new house with our last load of stuff when we got a call from Liz. She told us that a miracle had occured. To use her words — “You must have been praying real hard. I don’t know how or why, but you were just approved for your loan!” Now I actually did shart! Kesha and I both jumped for joy. The Lord truly came through for us! He confirmed that this is the right move for us.

I can’t believe how good God has been to us these last couple month! He is so so so wonderful!

Anyway — we are just about to head out the door for the Church Christmas Production.

I hope all is well!

LOTS OF THINGS

12/02/2006

I realize that it has been WAY too long since my last post. Needless to say, things have been busy. We have almost completely moved into our new house! It was nothing short of a miracle of God that we made it into our home! I am so thankful for His obvious hand in the whole ordeal. If you want the whole story, ask me.

It is nice to have a place to call my own! God is GREAT!

Kesha is in her 5th month of pregnancy now! We find out what we are having in about a week and a half! I am so so so excited for that! It will be a very amazing thing for sure to see my little guy (or girl) swimming around inside my wife :)

Anyway — I just thought I would throw out a quick update since it has been a while.

Doogie Howser – signing off.
