I think every one should have a day off every now and again. A day when you can call in to work sick and go to the beach (or you can just stay home and eat ice cream and watch movies all day). When I was younger I vowed that I would celebrate a new holiday: it was to be called “FERRIS BUELLER’S BI-ANNUAL DAY OFF”. Twice a year, I would just take the day off. That would be sweet! I haven’t really held up my end of the bargain. So I imagine sometime in the next few months I will have to call in “sick”.
Spread the word. Who knows…maybe Hallmark will pick it up.

Isn’t it amazing how fast time flies? I look back even a year ago. We were just finding out that we were pregnant. And in my mind, there was nothing even close to how beautiful and sweet my little Cohen is. She is an AMAZING blessing of God. One that I didn’t see coming. And I think about our future. Where will we be in 1 year from now? 5 years? 20 years? The truth is — I have NO CLUE! But I know that God will be with us every step of the way. I am excited to follow God throughout our lives. I am so anxious to see my children grow up with a love for God. There are so many things in this life to look forward to. And I don’t want to miss out on a second of God’s blessing for our lives. I want to live every moment in complete dependence upon Him. God is so good!

It is amazing to see all the curve balls that God throws into my life. I have expectations sometimes, but then God completely blows me away with His plan for my life. It is hard for me not to know how everything will happen in my life. But that is the way God intended it. It causes me to trust more. I like that part of it…even though it is unknown.
