I can’t believe how much weight I have gained. I feel enormous! I am not at my heaviest, but I feel like it. I think back to a year ago — I was feeling so great about myself. Eating right. Working out like nobody’s business! It was on. But now I find myself in the same struggle. I think eating is the kicker. I see these horrible habits that I know are going to kill me in the long run — literally!
The last couple days have been motivating. I have been working out and eating right. I pray that this trend doesn’t end in an all you can eat night at Izzy’s. I need the Lord to do this. I KNOW I will fail on my own.
Well…I am off to eat a rice cake :S

Well…it is time to break the news. Kesha and I have been praying like crazy over the last few months. God has been challenging our hearts in new and fresh ways, and we have been seeking God’s direction for this chapter in our lives. I have written about the feeling that we were on the verge of something huge. So the long and the short of it is this: as of this January, I will no longer be serving as the Worship Director at New Harvest Church. The one thing that really led me to make this huge decision is the yearning I have had in my heart to be in full time ministry. I have known for a while that the church was not in a position to hire a full time worship pastor for at least a few years…so with that in mind, I sought God’s guidance. And this is where He led.
Since all these thoughts have been brewing in my heart and in my mind, I have had several conversations with churches all over the country. But there is only one door that has opened and remained open. I have decided to take a position as the Creative Arts Pastor for a brand new church plant near Portland. It has been so awesome to see how God has orchestrated all of the things needed for this to become a reality. I am so pumped about what God is going to do through this new church. And Kesha and I are both so excited to make this move.
I could write pages and pages of all the things God has been doing in my life. This is a sad time in our lives on one hand, but on the other we are looking forward with passion for the future.

This week has been busy! I am so pumped about all the opportunities that God is bringing our way, but it definitely takes its toll. Right now I am working a couple jobs, plus I have taken on 3 design projects on the side to bring in some extra dough.
We are pumped because the people who looked at our house last week want to come take another look tomorrow afternoon. That would be the biggest blessing to sell our house. You have no idea!
I miss my family today. It has been a while since I have seen them, and it really is hard with them not being able to see Cohen growing up so fast. I can’t believe how huge of a girl she is!
Anyhoo…I am off to play racquetball!

I used to be a Monster addict. They are the best energy drink on the market by far! I love the blue Monsters (lo-carb).
It has been a while since my last Monster, and today has been long…so I feel like I deserve it.

It is our first showing of our house today. We are really excited to see what is going to come of it. I just pray that we will be able to see the house sold. I know it is a burden that Kesha and I both share. It is also a burden to know that we won’t have our first “home” anymore. It is very sad to think of leaving this place. It is so comforting to come home to this place everyday. I love the security of knowing it is ours. But we are just trusting God has a plan for us and that we won’t have to worry about finding our next “home”.
P.S. Chad is on his way over here this morning to help clean up the backyard. So I want to throw out an online shout out to him. Thanks bro.

Wow! I really feel a lot of changes happening in our lives right now. I am amazed at how God continues to work in my life. He is NEVER done with us. I was surprised to see how my heart has been formed over the last few months. I have been desperate for God to move in my life in a fresh way – and He certainly has done that. If you have been around me at all in the last few months you probably know what I am talking about. God has changed my whole perspective on ministry, church, and even life in general. I am very excited to see where the next year leads us.
It is cool because God is really working in Kesha’s life too. It is amazing to have her by my side this whole time!

I feel like life has been going at about a grillion miles per hour lately. But there are definitely good things happening. God is working in my heart in fresh and new ways. I feel that Kesha and I are really on the brink of new territory in our walk with the Lord.
I have been reading a lot in the last few weeks. That is something I really enjoy. I wish there was more time in my day to read.
Kesha and I have our first showing of our house this Saturday. We are really praying for a quick sale. It will be a miracle if it does sell. Pray for us, because we are pretty much at the end of our financial rope.
