Thanks for actually checking out the new blog site. As you can see, the look has changed – and I am sure it will change even more in the next week or so as I try to refine a look that works.
WordPress is a pretty cool. It offers a few more features than blogger. If you are interested, you can check it out here.
Tonight was awesome! Kesha made some homemade lasagna (yumm) and Chad & Jess came over for dinner and a night of chillin like villains. They are some of the best friends we have ever had. I am really thankful that God has given them to us. Our lives have definitely been blessed by them! (Thanks guys!)
On another quick note, Cohen got her 6 month check up today. She is in the 48% for her weight, 9% for her height (she is a shortie), and 86% for her head
– I can’t even say how much I love our little princess! She is the most beautiful little girl in the whole wide world.
Well, enough with the random post.
Enjoy the new site!

I have been in such a weird place lately. I really feel the Lord stirring my heart up for something big – yet I am having a hard time discerning His will in it all. I am really excited about what the Lord is doing at this new church in Wilsonville, OR (www.mercyhillonline.com), and other churches in the area too.
I feel that God is doing a new work in our world. And maybe the Northwest is even behind in the game — but I know in my heart that if we are to reach the people of this generation, we NEED to change the way we approach ministry and the church. I don’t know exactly what my whole part is in that revolution, but I am praying God’s leading and guidance to be crystal clear.
I don’t want to be in this place of uncertainty. It is hard! God is definitely stretching my faith. I just pray that I will be diligent to seek Him and to listen closely to His voice. But I know how fickle I am. I tend to trust in myself a lot — and that doesn’t get me anywhere. I need the Lord desperately to lead me through the wilderness of my life.
Toward the Promised Land,

It sucks not to have the internet at home. I don’t blog near as much since we gave up the internet. But I guess it is the price you pay for saving money. Sacrifice is hard, but it is worth it for us right now. Hopefully it is temporary and we will be able to be at a better place soon. We are doing Financial Peace University with the church. I think it will help if we can really take hold of that as a way of life.
That’s it for now. I will write again soon.

We just got back last night from a very fun weekend of camping near Florence, OR. We spent the weekend with our friends Courtney & Andy (and little Ashton) in a yurt. If you’ve never heard of a yurt (like me 2 days ago), it is pretty much a cross between a tepee and a cabin. I definitely ate too much junk food — but it was a much needed getaway for sure!
On another note, lately I have a new hobby. I have been playing racquetball about 4 times a week (sometimes more) for the last few weeks. I know that isn’t very long, but I love it! It is just like ping-pong (which I also love), but bigger and makes me sweat more. It is a pretty good workout. In fact – to prove how dedicated I am, I woke up at 6:15am this morning to go play with some friends of mine. I still suck pretty bad at it, but hopefully I will get better in time.
Off to the courts!
