We watched the “new to DVD” movie Stardust last night. It is a great movie in my humble opinion. From the get go, it is filled with creativity and imagination. It is the kind of movie I would love to own and watch several times over the years. I wish I would have seen it in the theatre! It is a modern day fairy tale filled with all the classic elements: Good & Evil, a Hero, and of course a little lovin’ (but clean lovin’). The film features a few big name actors too: Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro, and Claire Danes.
Stardust didn’t do all that well in the box office, but I think this one is the diamond in the rough at Blockbuster. This film has it all. Killer plot. Great acting. Smooth FX. What else could you ask for?
PS. Check out the sweet website!

I was talking with some friends over a night of coffee, wine, cheese, chocolate, and mongolian grill about blogging. They used to blog here and there, but I guess it never really caught on in their lives. They asked us what it was that made us blog. So here is my answer…
I blog…
Those are just a few reasons. I am sure there are other reasons that I can’t think of right now (reasons that are tucked away deep in my subconscious mind). But I am pretty sure blogging will be around forever. And I hope I can keep up with it. I have gone through a few ups and downs in the blogging realm — but overall I feel I have been pretty consistent.
So this is my 570th blog entry. I hope you enjoy my blog and continue to visit.
outie.

This has been the strangest Christmas in a while…but that’s a story for another day.
Here are some highlights from our Christmas:
We have some very tough things happening with our family, and we could really use some prayer. I don’t really want to get into it on my blog, but just keep us in your prayers.
I hope you all had a great Christmas.

…when you eat McD’s for lunch, a hot-dog & fries for dinner, and Muchas for a late night snack
I feel a new-year’s resolution coming on!

There is a new addition to the site. Previously I had a weak version of a jukebox on the site — but now I have upgraded to the full meal deal. I figured I might as well use some of the 300gb of storage I get with my hosting (props to bluehost). So now you can listen to my favorite music while visiting my site. I have made several playlists — some by artist, and others by style. So take a listen. You can find the player in the sidebar of my site.
Enjoy!
A little birdie told me that if you click the arrow to the right of the song you can download it too…but I’m sure that’s just an urban legend

If you don’t yet, you need to start using Pandora Radio. Here is the deal: You go to pandora.com and sign up. Once you have an account, you type in your favorite artists and it will make custom radio stations based on your music picks. For instance, I have a Colbie Caillat Radio Station that I am listening to right now. That doesn’t mean all I will get is Colbie Caillat songs 24/7. But it will search it’s billions-of-billions of artists to find songs that fit into that genre. It is really cool.
Here is another cool feature. There is a button called Quickmix. If you click it, you can choose several of your stations (eg. John Mayer, Colbie Caillat, & Jack Johnson), then it will create a station based on all the artists you selected.
Thanks Pandora for making listening to the radio a lot easier on the ears.
