This is for all of you who have heard of Photoshop, but don’t really want to go spend hundreds of dollars on a new piece of software. It is called Photoshop Express, and it was released by Adobe this week. The site allows you to upload your files directly and edit them online. No need to download any software, or spend any money. They offer many of the features of the full-blown Photoshop. And they give you 2 GIGs of storage too! It doesn’t get any better than FREE!

Well, in my journey to explore Adobe Illustrator, one of the concepts that I have trouble with is photo-realism. That is where you make an illustration that looks real. Well, tonight I actually feel somewhat successful in my first photo-realistic illustration. It is super simple, but I am proud of it anyway…

Tonight was a hectic situation for us. Kesha was baking an amazing strawberry rhubarb pie, and it was filling the house with the most delightful aroma. Then, when the pie had only about 10 more minutes left in the oven, it started spilling some filling over the edges. It got all over the bottom of the stove. Luckily Kesha caught it soon and put a cookie sheet below the pie. That worked fine for a few more minutes, until we noticed smoke seeping out of the burners. Kesha opened the door to a huge billow of smoke in her face. We panicked because Co was sleeping and we didn’t want the smoke alarm to go off. I grabbed a towel and started wafting the smoke away from the smoke detector as Kesha tried to scrape the scalding hot (and now crystallized) juices off of the bottom of the oven. We were laughing the whole way through. It was a fun little break in our otherwise normal night.
And that is a little story for you.
PS. The pie turned out just fine!

Tonight was fun. With the cleaning up of our spare room, Kesha and I have made a habit of spending the night together working, talking, and listening to music together. It is nice because we get stuff done, but we don’t have to be away from each other. I love it!
Cohen has been sick as a dog lately. She went to the doc a couple times, and she has to use an inhaler because she gets so wheezy. Poor little Co. She is feeling a lot better today though!
This year didn’t feel like Easter to me. It really sneaked up on me. Maybe it was that it was so early this year, or maybe it is all the busyness in our lives. With the girls sick, we didn’t make it to an Easter service at all. Live is so crazy sometimes. I pray that the Lord would bring some calm into my heart. I ask for focus and revival. I feel very tired.
Anyway, that’s it for tonight.

Here are some pics of our fun day today. Cohen and Kesha got all dressed up in their pretty dresses. Grandma & Grampa took us to lunch out in Mt. Angel. It was great! Take a close look at the first picture of Cohen. She is getting so many teeth!!!

I am really enjoying being a dad. I love my little Co so freakin much! I can’t believe how special she is to me. It has even changed the way I love Kesha. I appreciate her so much more because I see how much love she pours into our little angel. Cohen is getting so so big. She has 6 teeth already and in a couple weeks she has her first birthday. I can’t wait for all the birthday’s to come!
