Grandpa's Famous Smile
I made it back into the states on Wednesday morning around 2:30am. I slept until noon, and then it was back to the ol’ grind today. I already miss being with my Family. It was so nice for all of us to be together. I am going back in 3 weeks for another 8 days. That will be great! You know the old song “Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what you got ’til it’s gone…”? That is ringing very true in my life. My Dad and I have been very close for the past decade, but still I feel distant. I am just eating up all the time that we have here on earth. But we won’t fret too much, because we will have eternity to share as well!
Thanks for all your prayers during this time for my Dad and our whole family. We need it!

Update on My Daddio

Today my Dad met with the specialist. All 3 of us kids went with him. It was a tough day, but it was good to get some answers. Here’s what we know. It isn’t pancreatic cancer — it is bilary cancer that has spread to his liver and lymphnodes. Since it has spread to his liver, they are unable to operate. They told him an option would be to give him chemo, but that it would probably do more harm than good. He decided not to undergo chemotherapy. Instead, they will send a nurse by the house to make sure he is comfortable as possible during this process. It could be weeks or months. We really don’t know for sure.The main focus now is just spending quality time together. Kesha and Co come on Thursday. I can’t wait!
