My little sis (Heather) is back in Calgary now. Her trip was short, but it was awesome. We had a great time and I especially loved seeing her and Cohen interact. They definitely have some mad love for each other. Cohen kept asking all night “Where’s Heather?”. Luckily we only have a couple weeks before we go up for my Dad’s interment. Then we will see the whole family up there. Cohen is so much bigger now than in November (when they saw her last). She is a talkaroonie now! I bet she knows over 500 words! She talks in sentences now (sometimes). It’s nuts!
Anyway, here are some pics from the trip!

…and we are having tons of fun! The first night we went out for dinner then got a delicious almond chocolate ice cream bar at Costco! They are the most delicious thing ever! Then we got candy and watched “Marley and Me” until 2:30am.
Yesterday we went up for a awesome day at the beach. The weather was perfect! The best part for me was taking my new kite out on the beach. I officially have a new hobby. I can’t wait to get a nice new kite! I bought mine for $6 on clearance. Even still, it was a blast!
Today we are going to head up to Todai. If you have never been there, you are missing out! They have the best Japanese cuisine around. Awesome sushi, all you can eat crab, fresh crepes (made to order), and more desserts than you can imagine. ‘Twill be good!
Anyway, I hope to have some great pictures to post after the end of this adventure weekend. Stay tuned…

Flickr is an awesome service. They are a picture hosting service owned by Yahoo. I have been using flickr for a couple years now and for the last year or so I have been using them to host all the pictures for this blog (and others that I like to share). So for all those distant (or not-so-distant) relatives who read my blog, if you ever see a picture you’d like to have, you can order the pictures though flickr. All you do is click on the picture you like and then click the “Order Prints” button.
There you have it folks. Ordering prints couldn’t be easier!

It has been several years since my CD came out. It was awesome to record the CD up in Canada back in 2004 just before Kesha and I got married. Anyway, for those of you who bought my CD over the years — thanks! For those of you who didn’t get a chance to get a copy of my CD, here’s your chance. For a limited time I will be offering my CD for free download on this site. All you have to do is click on the “Download Album” link in the sidebar of my blog. If you don’t see it, then you missed your chance.
Feel free to tell all your friends about it. There are no stipulations at all. Just download, and enjoy!

I read a great article on Collide Magazine yesterday. If you have a moment, it might be worth the read. Here is a quick excerpt:
I guess I want to make this simple statement first and foremost: After watching people like you for years and years, I want you to know that the stuff you create doesn’t matter as much as you think it does. After years of experience, I’ve come to the conclusion that the artistic designs you engage in may only marginally impact someone’s life. I know that’s a very blunt statement, but someone needs to say what everyone else is already thinking.

Cohen got some great princess accessories from her Grandma Lisa for her 2nd birthday. Cohen had a blast playing with all her gear. Here is a picture to show you just how dang cute she is.

The last couple years have been pretty tough for us. There has been tons of great change, but with that came a ton of responsibility. And in many ways I still feel like a teenager. It can be a little overwhelming at times.
I am desperate for serious change in our lives. We have been praying our butts of that God would provide an opportunity to increase our income and open up doors to be in a job that fulfills my desire for ministry. This month I will have been at my job for 2 years. It was perfect at first, but there is no way that this job can sustain a family of 4. Thankfully we have VINTOM and Kesha’s side businesses. Those alone have kept us afloat. As much as I am thankful for that, it is tough not to have the time I would like to spend with my family. And I know it is tough on them too.
Anyway, if you think of any jobs that you think might suit my skills and passions please let me know.
On a happier note, Cohen turns 2 tomorrow! Can you believe it? I will post a few pics from our party tomorrow. If you want to come crash the party we will be at the Bush Park playground at about 3pm.
