Rock & Roll Band
I am writing this post mainly because that last one was such a downer. I am sitting up late watching Austin City Limits. Even though the bands tonight aren’t all that great (James Blunt, and some no-name dude from Texas) it stirrs up my passion for music. I RARELY play my guitar anymore. If anything I whip out Kesha’s old 3/4 size and bust out a tune. But even then, it isn’t long before Cohen comes over and starts wailing on the strings.
The other night I was doing some work at Cravings Coffee (the Old Dragonfly - where I first met Kesha). Little did I know it was an open mic night. I took a peek oustide where they had a stage set up. I didn’t get up and play anything, but it was fun just to be there. I think I would really enjoy getting a couple guys together and drinking a few beers and enjoying some music.
What do you think Chad? Randy? Tyler? Would you be into finding a sweet open mic and playing some gee-tar?

Yeah man. I’d need a good couple weeks heads up though cause I gotta write stuff. Or figure out some covers.

I would for sure, just remember I still pretty much suck. As long as we play in G or I can use my capo, we should be good to go… Of course, I could just drink all the beer and watch you guys play.
On another note, I am hoping to get some youth groups together in September for a fall kickoff. I was thinking you could come in with David, Shane, and maybe Tim for a little concert/worship night. You could play a lot of your stuff and then also lead worship. I know I have talked to you about this before, but I really mean it this time. We would hold it in the new youth room. Should be an adequate venue by the time we’re done.
