Kesha has been feeling like garbage since last night. She is upstairs trying to relax, and I get to watch the kiddos. They are so fun!
I can’t believe how big they are getting! Cohen turns 3 — yes THREE — in less than one week. She actually has her birthday on Easter Sunday. Isla on the other hand is almost 10 months old. She is starting to get such a wonderful personality. She is snuggle bug and loves her mommy, daddy, and sister a lot.
On Saturday we went to the beach for a fun day in the sun. Here are a few pictures from our little trip:
I mentioned a couple posts back that I lost my wallet in Bend while on vacation. This was the part of the trip that sucked. Everything else pretty much rocked. Well, GET THIS…
I was at work on Tuesday. I had cancelled my debit cards and had plans to go get my new license over lunch. I was kind of stressing about identity theft and all that jazz. Then I got a call from my wife. She said, “Guess what we got in the mail today? YOUR WALLET”!
With my wallet was a note. Apparently a few gals found my wallet on the sidewalk in downtown Bend. They started yelling my name to see if they could track me down. When no one answered, they started going in to the stores and calling my name. Still no luck. So they went completely out of their way to mail me back my wallet. How awesome is that!?
No signed name. No return address. Just simple kindness. That’s great.
We had such a wonderful time this weekend in Eagle Crest. The trip was such a relaxing time for the whole family. Kesha and I were dying to just take a break. Here are a few pics from our trip.
Kesha is even more beautiful than the mountain.
The food wasn’t half bad.
Cohen’s candy necklace was her second favorite part of the trip.
Her favorite part was swimming in the hot tub.
Isla decided to join us for a dip too.
Can’t wait to go back.
As I write this, we are on our the second day of our Eagle Crest vacation. This is the first family vacation we’ve taken outside of visiting family since Kesha and I got married. It has been nothing short of AMAZING! Kesha, Cohen, and Isla are all sick, and I lost my wallet – but that doesn’t even matter. The fact that we are here together and care-free is a great feeling.
I haven’t answered any of my email, posted a tweet, or to my Facebook. This weekend is all about getting rid of all the distractions and just being with my family.
We ended up booking an extra day, so we won’t be coming home until Monday. So fun!
I figured it is never too early to reserve domain names for the girls. Their names are unique enough that the probably won’t get taken. But just in case, I thought I’d register them. For only $10/year it’s a worthwhile investment.
I figured there’s no sense in letting the domains just site there, so I set them each up with a Tumblr account. Kesha and I will try to keep the updated with pictures, video, and other cute things they say and do.
I love my mother-in-law. She is such a wonderful, loving, and kind woman. She decided on a whim to call me up and offer to come watch the girls so Kesha and I can go on a date. How awesome is that?
Yesterday we had a great Thanksgiving at our house. At one time we had 16 people running around our place. It was awesome! There would be NO WAY for us to pull that off at our old house. I am so thankful we have a place big enough to entertain. Here are a few snaps from the day:
My mom is going to be visiting for the next few days. She flies in tomorrow from Calgary, Canada. I am so excited for her to see our little Isla. 4 months have flown by and Isla hasn’t even met her Grandma Lisa yet. So fun! It will be nice to spend a few days with my mom.
On another note, I think I need a vacation sometime soon. It is wearing on me.
We have been moving to our new house this last week (hence the lack of blog posts). We sold our first home. It belongs to another family now. It is kind of crazy to think that that chapter in our lives is over. Both of our girls came home to 1052 Waikiki. But this will most likely be the home they grow up in.
I love our new home. It is much more “homey”. We’ve already had friends over, our neighbors are great, we live a stone’s throw from the park, and this weekend we are having a bunch of family over. That is something that was hard to do with our old house.
We’re so thankful for this place. Everything was orchestrated perfectly for us to get this home. We sold our house the first day on the market for full price. And we bought our new home for well below asking price (and appraisal price). Our Realtors were awesome. If you need a Realtor, check out Brian and Nina White.
Looking forward to tons of great things in this home…
