Every human on the face of the planet has a purpose. There is only one me. There is only one you. And there are things that you were created to do. You have a divine purpose. So are you living up to it?
I know it’s easy for me to get comfortable. I have many grandiose dreams and plans for my life that I hope to get to someday. But don’t we all? What happens when “Someday” turns into 25 years from now. I can see myself now sitting on the couch with a bag of Doritos and a bunch of unfulfilled dreams.
That’s not what I want for me; and it’s certainly not what God wants for me (or you).
Author, speaker, and creative-thinker Seth Godin released a free manifesto entitled “Brainwashed: Seven Ways to Reinvent Yourself“. It’s a great challenge to get past the invisible walls we have built for ourselves and start living the lives we were meant to live. I encourage you to read it and start thinking about how God might be calling you to change your life.

Today was amazing for me. I woke up early on my day off and enjoyed some coffee and reading while the girls slept in. Once they finally woke up I gave them kisses and left to go do what I said I was gonna do. I went to the Mt. Angel Library — which is an amazing library about 1/2 an hour out of town. It was so good to just focus some time on my plans for this next year. I actually wrote for about 2 hours straight. I was able to come up with 6 goals for this next year. Here are a few of them:

- To live a healthy and balanced life.
- To be financially disciplined and responsible.
- …
- To develop my skills and abilities.
After I defined my goals, I made a plan of action for each goal. It really feels good to have that written down. I do well with goals. Lately I feel like I have been running at full speed, but without a specific goal in mind. Now I have something to shoot for.
This is going to be another huge year for us. I am excited for sure!
