We had such a wonderful time this weekend in Eagle Crest. The trip was such a relaxing time for the whole family. Kesha and I were dying to just take a break. Here are a few pics from our trip.

I figured it is never too early to reserve domain names for the girls. Their names are unique enough that the probably won’t get taken. But just in case, I thought I’d register them. For only $10/year it’s a worthwhile investment.
I figured there’s no sense in letting the domains just site there, so I set them each up with a Tumblr account. Kesha and I will try to keep the updated with pictures, video, and other cute things they say and do.

I am so tired, but I couldn’t help myself from posting a few pictures of our new baby girl.
Isla Reese Thomas was born today at 1:27pm at 7.1 lbs, 19.5 inches, after 12 minutes of pushing. She is so wonderful!
Kesha did such a great job. I am so proud of my family!

Last night at about 3am Kesha felt we needed to head to the hospital. She was having some mad contractions and thought she might be in labor. When we got here they checked her and she was definitely in labor and going to have a baby soon. So now it is 9:30am — her water broke, she has an epidural, and she is progressing nicely. By the end of the day we will have our little baby Isla in our arms.

Wow! I must say I have never seen my wife so large…in a good way. Kesha is officially full-term and Isla’s big debut is just around the corner. Every time Kesha calls me I think she is going to tell me she is in labor. I can’t wait!
As much as I can’t wait for Isla to come, I am cherishing the moments that I have with Cohen as my only daughter. She is such a special angel and she just melts my heart. I love her with every fiber of my being. She makes me such a happy guy.
Today when I came home for lunch she ran into my arms screaming “Daddy! Daddy!”. I just love that! She really adores me as much as I adore her.
Cohen will always be my little love bug, but soon she won’t be my only little girl.

There are only weeks left now until little Isla is born. We are so excited to see her beautiful face. I look at Cohen and I can’t imagine loving anyone the way I love her. But I know once I lay my eyes on Isla that will all change. Kesha is doing really well with her pregnancy.
I have been working tons on a bunch of freelance clients. I have been doing a lot of thinking about what the next few years have in store for me in the “work” department. I have a feeling there are some changes on the horizon. But I just have no idea what it will look like. There are tons of open doors for us right now, it’s just a matter of discerning which path to walk down.
I could really use prayer during these next few months. I know there is going to be tons on my plate. It’s all good stuff, but it will just be lots to handle. I am loving this adventure…

After our bad experience with the people who brought Riley back after less than an hour of having him (see last post), we got a call from a couple who live out in Independence who wanted to come see Riley. They immediately loved him. They took Riley a couple days ago and he is now happy as a clam. We are so happy for him and for them!
It was so tough to see him go. I would be lying if I said we all didn’t shed a few tears. Cohen screamed her head off when he first left…then we bribed her with a popsicle. She’s still asks for him, but we just tell her that Riley’s out with friends.
He’s a great dog, and now he is with a great family.
This brings the dawn of a new era even closer for us as we get ready to have Isla Reese in about 6 weeks. Our little family is growing and we couldn’t be happier!
