Tonight Cohen and I sung some songs into the computer. This is one of our favorite tracks…

If you could listen to just one song on repeat for the rest of your life, what song would it be?

I saw this awesome video today on Chris Brogan’s site. This is incredibly creative! So much time must have gone into this. I think regular people do such a better job than Hollywood at making almost everything.

Every now and again I like to do a post about the music I have been recently enjoying. There hasn’t been much lately that has really struck a chord with me, but the few artists that I do like really stand out above the crowd.
This guy is super laid back. He is like a mix between Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, and Paul Simon — but a little more modern (but just a little).

This chick is wicked cool! I have seen a couple videos of her playing live and it is awesome. She plays a lot with synth sounds and loops. It is a real treat to watch her play. You can’t really get the full feel on her album. Watching her live is where it’s at.

I loved Colbie’s last album, but this one is even better. Every single song is great. There are a few that really blow me away. I would check out track #6 “Droplets” featuring Jason Reeves. What a great song! Apparently Kara Dioguardi (from American Idol) helped write a few of the songs too. Great stuff!

I am really excited for 2 albums that are coming soon. First off, is Dave Barnes’ new album. I have heard a couple snippets on his twit-vid page. Sounds like it will be his best work yet. Also, Marc Broussard has another album on the way. He did a live preview on U-Stream that was pretty cool. Can’t wait for those.
What new music have you been listening to?

I am a big fan of auto-tune. I have had a ton of fun with the new iPhone App “I Am T-Pain”. Apparently, so does Obama…

Every night before bed we brush Cohen’s teeth. I remember as a kid singing the “Brush Your Teeth” song. I couldn’t really remember all the lyrics, so I made some up for myself. Now Cohen loves to get her teeth brushed before bed!

It has been several years since my CD came out. It was awesome to record the CD up in Canada back in 2004 just before Kesha and I got married. Anyway, for those of you who bought my CD over the years — thanks! For those of you who didn’t get a chance to get a copy of my CD, here’s your chance. For a limited time I will be offering my CD for free download on this site. All you have to do is click on the “Download Album” link in the sidebar of my blog. If you don’t see it, then you missed your chance.
Feel free to tell all your friends about it. There are no stipulations at all. Just download, and enjoy!

A few months ago I bought a new guitar. It was a guitar that I had been eyeballing for about 2 years. Although since I have bought it I haven’t really had much time to play.I love playing, and that is something that I want to do more of.
I remember the days when Kesha and I had just been married that we would pack all the gear into the car and I would do a show almost every weekend. It has now been well over a year since I have played a show. I am rusty at the guitar, and I notice my vocals have slipped quite a bit.
I am glad to be playing on the worship team again. I am about to head to practice in about a half and hour. It is great because almost all the musicians on the team are better players than I am. That will stretch you!
I hope to get enrolled in lessons sometime when we can scrounge up the scratch — but for now I will just play my little heart out every chance I get.
And without further ado, her she is — the 2008 Taylor T5 LTD:
