Have you heard of Marc Broussard? If you have kept up with my blog, you probably know who he is. He is one of my all time favorite artists. He is a southern rock/funk singer with an AMAZING voice. Last time I visited my family I gave a couple of his CD’s to my Mom. She was instantly hooked! We made a deal that if he was ever playing in either Calgary or Portland that the other one would make the trip for the concert. Anyway, he is playing at the Oregon Zoo on Friday July 25th. So my mom booked her flight and she is coming down for the concert. I am sure seeing her little grand-daughter won’t be bad either 
I took a week of work so it will be tons of fun!

Here are a few pics from our amazing trip to Waldport, OR. We had such a great time with our friends Tyler & Jillian and their little girl Ava. Ava is a few weeks older than Co, so they are BFF’s. God let the Sun shine the whole time we were there. It was perfect! I couldn’t have asked for a better time!

So here is our Sprint bill. Needless to say we went a little over on our minutes
Other than that, we are going on a mini-vacation this weekend. We leave tomorrow afternoon for a 3 day trip to the coast. The beach house we are renting is just steps from the beach! I can’t wait to just get away! It will be great.
Probably won’t post for a few day…but I hope to get some great pictures while we are gone. I will post some when I return.

I know I haven’t blogged in a while…but it has been CRAZY busy around here. Here are a few new things in my life:
- Our trip to Canada was good. We are back into the swing of things already and it seems like we didn’t really get tons of time to rest. But that’s ok. It was good to see the fam — and great for them to see how Coey is growing.
- Speaking of Co, she has 2 teeth and learned to kiss! I can’t believe it!
- Kesha is a little under the weather. But she has a bunch of Lullababy orders…so that’s great!
- I sold my laptop to my sister, and I am getting the new macbook.
- I just gained Uptown Music as a new web client. I will be revamping their whole web presence. Their new site should be up and running withing a month or so.
And that is the snapshot of the last chunk of my life.

We are leaving in about 1/2 an hour to leave for Canada. Last I heard it was -56 degrees with the wind chill. That’s cold enough to make me go sterile. But it is supposed to be warmer for our visit. We are going to be gone for 9 days…so it will be great to spend some time with my family. Not to mention just taking a few days off of work.
Here are some reason Canada rocks:
- Bubble Tea (and lots of it)
- AMAZING Sushi
- Cheap Hot Wings (10 cents a piece)
- Canadian Slurpees
I will most likely come back 50lbs heavier…but it is dang good stuff!
Gotta go.

It is day 2 of the Christian Musician Summit in Seattle. We are having such an awesome time since being here! I am inspired musically and spiritually. Two things stand out to me in particular.
1. Take Risks.
I am a little bit of a coward. I have so many ideas in my mind all the time. There are innovative and creative ways that I would love to reach out to the world and to Christ, but because I am afraid to take risks I hold back. I definitely need to pray for God’s boldness in that!
2. Keep Learning
I feel like I have been a huge plateau musically for the last couple years. To be honest, I don’t even take my guitar home from the church during the week most of the time. So aside from worship practice and Sunday morning, I haven’t really played much in the last long time. LAME!! There is one session in particular that really challenged me. I want to grow and develop myself musically. God has given me a love and a passion for that – and I want to use that to His glory.
We are leaving in a few hours. For now I am enjoying the serenade of Tim Hughes and Robbie Seay. Jealous?

It is 3:04am and I am just about to leave the house to go pick up my friend Tim to drive to Seattle, WA. We are heading up for the “Christian Musician Summit” at Overlake Church. It is going to be an awesome Conference. I am pumped to see some of the speakers and artists such as: Lincoln Brewster, Robbie Seay, and Tim Hughes. There are also going to be tons of workshops on things like songwriting and post-modern worship. It is going to be a great trip. Pray that we get there safe (by 8am).
I am going to miss my little ladies very much. But Kesha promised to send me picture mail on my phone so I don’t have to go too long without seeing their cute little faces.
I probably won’t write again until I am back – but look out for the update.
