THE HOUSE STORY
12/10/2006
Ok…here is the short version. If you want the long version, talk with me.
So we were supposed to have the house all financed and paid for by November 20th. This was not the “preferred date”. Since my last day at Regence BlueCross BlueShield was November 20th, it was imperative that we be in the house by then. As it turns out, the house wasn’t completed until the 27th! But we had a little bit of hope since the employment check was already done earlier.
Anyhow, after we had signed all the papers and we thought we were in the clear, we got a call from our lender saying that they did a “last minute employment check”. I couldn’t believe it. I almost sharted. The worst part was that we had already moved 3 truck-loads worth of our stuff into the house. Liz, our broker, told us that there was no chance that we could get approved for the loan with the employment change (especially since I am only making about 1/2 the amount I was making at Regence).
So here we sat. Our hearts broken. Our dreams shattered. We spent a while in prayer, and then started to move all our stuff BACK TO THE OLD HOUSE
. We were just about to leave the new house with our last load of stuff when we got a call from Liz. She told us that a miracle had occured. To use her words — “You must have been praying real hard. I don’t know how or why, but you were just approved for your loan!” Now I actually did shart! Kesha and I both jumped for joy. The Lord truly came through for us! He confirmed that this is the right move for us.
I can’t believe how good God has been to us these last couple month! He is so so so wonderful!
Anyway — we are just about to head out the door for the Church Christmas Production.
I hope all is well!
