WOULDN’T IT BE NICE!
10/13/2006
I can’t wait to be retired. I think that will be a liberating experience. To be able to live life with that kind of purpose would be amazing. I don’t want “the next paycheck” to be my motivation. I want to do what I do because it’s what I want to do!
The last couple weeks have been very busy for me, but one thing I am beginning to realize, is how much I LOVE working for the Church. I feel like life has a purpose, and I am part of something bigger than me. Something significant. Something divine.
Kesha and I have often dreamed with words about our future. And I know that we will be in ministry our whole lives. Even when we retire, we want to serve the Church somehow – not because we have to, but because we couldn’t be happy doing anything else.

Are you KIDDING?!!?!?!?!?!? You are WAAAAAAAAAY too young to even fantasize about retirement. In fact, you should be worried about how in the world you could even retire at this point! I don’t believe anyone in their 20′s has but a clue how much it will cost to live on a fixed income in 40 years. Ministry is wonderful but it doesn’t allow for much extra disposable income beyond bills. More power too you though.
